Here’s Penelope’s latest feat: standing with support. She can now move from lying down to all fours to sitting to standing all on her own, if she has something to pull up on. She’s been working out by doing pull-ups on the bottom rung of the coffee table. By the way, she has two teeth coming in from the top now, too, but we still can’t get a good picture — we’re still on the task!

Resting after a hard day of study sessions

Sorry for the lapse in posts — I’ve been very busy helping Daddy study for and pass his doctoral qualifying exams. As you can see from the picture, I’ve been watching The Apprentice and learning a lot about being a “go to” baby!

Here is a Quicktime movie of Penelope’s new crawling style. She often gets up on all fours, but just to rev up. Then she plops down and pulls out like a low rider.

Well, it’s hard to show in a picture, but her first tooth has fully surfaced. The challenge in seeing it is getting her “territorial” tongue out of the way!

Sitting pretty

As you can see, Penelope was a tiger for Halloween, and mommy was a zookeeper. They teamed up in costume to DJ at the school’s fall festival, and had a blast.
